Causes of Extreme Headaches

Causes of extreme headaches are variable. Some causes are: [1] Vertebrae in thee neck that slip out of place may cause extreme headaches for days. A chiropractor; or yoga, will cure that headache. [2] Acid reflux will cause headaches. Take a suitable antacid such as Zantac. [3] Heart problems will cause extreme headaches; especially if associated with respiratory problems such as C.O.P.D., bronchitis, and asthma. Aspirin will usually thin the blood sufficiently to relieve the pressure of respiratory problems. [4] Muscular and nervous tension will cause extreme headaches . Tension in the face from attempting to avoid bright sunlight is a major cause of this type of headache; as well as attempting to read media without wearing prescription glasses if they are necessary. [5] Electrolyte imbalance from lack of potassium is a major cause of headaches if the individual sweats profusely; and especially if he individual has respiratory problems. These are the most common causes of headaches. There are numerous other causes that are known to date.
